Over Madeline

Hello, I am Madeline!

I am a Canadian living in Amsterdam with my husband and dog. I have several years of experience as a nanny/babysitter and love cooking, baking, cleaning, and of course playing and exploring the outdoors with children! I have a Sociology Degree specializing in Child and Youth studies, and have worked for my hometown government for the last 6 years in the Child and Family Services division.

I have experiencing caring for all ages of children, including newborns to teens. I am a native english speaker and love to do housework including cleaning and preparing meals, grocery shopping, and organizing. I am also very confident biking on a cargo bike/bakfiets with big and little
passengers.

In my spare time you can find me gardening, biking, baking and hanging out with family and friends.

I am bubbly, warm, creative and love meeting new people, and absolutely adore children. Please let me know if you have any questions!

  • Maddie takes direction and fly’s with it. She was so unbelievably helpful with my 4 month old baby, going above and beyond my expectations. My child is now two and Maddie has been a constant in his life. He lights up when he hears her name and we all feel safe and well taken care of when she’s around.She’s reliable, takes her duties seriously and is great at being creative if anything unexpected arises. I never feel like I have to manage her when she helps us. Plus she’s a great cook - she has even made the baby muffins while he was napping! Can’t recommend her enough.
