Over Anna

I'm 30, British and have been living in Amsterdam for 6 years. I've previously worked with children aged 9 weeks to 12 years and love all aspects of child care.

I studied art and textiles at BA level and thoroughly enjoy organising arts and craft based activities for the children. I also have a passion for baking so regularly bake cakes and cookies with the children which they take great joy in decorating and eating.

I worked as a life guard for 2 years in London so have had basic first aid training and studied an access to nursing course for a year before moving to the Netherlands. I’m currently studying a psychology degree and in my second year.

  • Anna manages warm relationships with my seven year old daughter & my 3 year old twin boys & some how engages all of them In activities together despite their varying interests & abilities, a dance party, a baking activity or a fantastic art project are always on the agenda. She brings her creative energy & enthusiasm into their little lives & they simply adore her. I don’t think twice when I leave because I know my children are safe & happy. Anna is very capable & conscientious and we are always happy to see Anna.

  • Our family loves Anna. She has been sitting for our 6 and 3 year old children for nearly a year. Our 3 year old can be reserved but took to Anna right away. She has great energy, excellent communication, and is very engaging with the kids. They know when Anna comes they'll be games or creative projects to work on. We've come home to sewing projects, paper Christmas trees, and a salt dough bakery. They are always excited to see her and do something fun. We highly recommend Anna.

  • Anna has been our babysitter for the past five years and she has been amazing. Friendly, caring and so fantastic with the children. They get very excited when Anna is coming to babysit. She is very creative so the kids make lots of arty things with her, Also bake, play dens and anything else you can imagine! Great with babies but also school ages kid. Very trustworthy, goes out her way and we are very lucky to have met her!
